Step into a world of festive wonder with our much-loved Christmas Elf Explorer, a magical experience guaranteed to light up little faces and get the whole family into the Christmas spirit.
Join us for a theatrical adventure filled with music, laughter, festive surprises and a journey on board one of our beautiful steam trains. And of course… Father Christmas himself thinks it’s the perfect way to travel too!
Your Adventure Begins
Your festive experience starts at Oxenhope Station, where a brand-new immersive Christmas attraction awaits to welcome you into the world of the Elf Explorer. Packed with festive atmosphere, twinkling lights and plenty of surprises, this exciting new addition is the perfect way to begin your journey.
Collect your golden tickets for the Elf Explorer at the check-in desk and head for the badge fairies’ house. The magical lady will be checking that everyone has been nice. Please ensure children collect the correct age sticker for their gift when checking in.
Children can write letters to Father Christmas and enjoy festive activities, while grown-ups may wish to visit Rudolph’s Refreshments or enjoy a festive drink from the bar.
The Entertainment Starts Here!
Before boarding the train, families will enjoy a lively and interactive 20-minute Elf Show in the Exhibition Hall.
This fun-filled performance is the beginning of the Elf Explorer story, so please make sure you arrive in plenty of time to enjoy the full experience. Expect singing, dancing, festive chaos and lots of audience participation, alongside amplified music and theatrical lighting.
Once the show is complete, it’s time to head down to the platform and board the train. Please take care when boarding and help little ones mind the gap.
The Main Event
Once onboard, your magical steam train journey begins!
Over the next hour, you’ll be immersed in the rest of the Elf Explorer story as our talented team of singing and dancing elves brings Christmas to life throughout the train.
Children will receive juice and chocolate coins, while adults can enjoy mulled wine and a mince pie. During the journey, Father Christmas will visit every family, and each child will receive a special gift.
Be ready to sing along, join in the fun and help the elves make sure Christmas stays on track, because not everyone wants Christmas to succeed!
Back to Oxenhope
After over an hour of festive fun, your train will return to Oxenhope Station, where it will be time to disembark.
Before heading home, why not visit the Gift Shop, ride the diesel train, or use the free bus service? If you have parked at Oxenhope Station, please ensure you leave within your allocated parking time to allow space for arriving visitors.
We also highly recommend visiting nearby Haworth Village during your trip. With its famous cobbled Main Street, festive decorations and magical Christmas atmosphere, it’s the perfect way to round off your festive day out.
