The Elf Explorer is a calendar highlight for volunteers, staff, and customers at The Keighley & Worth Valley. Tickets are always very popular and expect to sell out quickly; there are no more to be added. Once they are gone, they are gone!

Prices vary by date but start at £24.00 per person – see table below.

The above price is per person.
An adult can have a child of 0-6 months on their lap included in the price.
An adult can have a child of 7-23 months on there for an added £10.00
Car Parking at Oxenhope Station is £4.00 for a timed slot and is pre-bookable only.
The ticket price above includes free travel on the Diesel Train or Special Bus Service, so you can travel locally to Oxenhope without using a car.
When purchasing your Elf Explorer Tickets, you can also pre-book drinks to collect from a ‘fast track’ lane at the bar. There is no on-train bar this year, so if you fancy a festive tipple, you will need to visit the bar.
You can pre-order from a selection of drinks, including:

- Bottled Real Ale – Landlord, Landlord Dark & Boltmaker
- Draught Lager
- Bottled Lager – Budweiser Budvar & Krombacher
- Wine (750ml & 187ml)
- Prosecco (750ml & 200ml)
- Baileys Mini (50ml)
- Gin & Tonic
This year we have a limited number of Accessibility Seats; the railway uses rolling stock from the 1950s & 60s, but we have converted one of our coaches to have Accessibility Seating. These can only be booked by emailing our Booking Office by filling in this form; each train has space for a Wheelchair with three seats, so the maximum bookable is 4.
When you fill the form in, this will place you in order in the que, and the booking team will get back to you.
If you want to book for more than 20 people on Elf Explorer, you can contact our booking office by emailing bookings@kwvr.co.uk. We will do our best, but tickets sell fast and getting large groups together can be tricky!
When emailing, please ensure to include as much information as possible, including:
- Name
- Address
- Contact Email Address & Phone Number
- How many adults
- How many children & ages
- The date you wish to book
- The time you want to book
- How many parking spaces
