Car Parking at Oxenhope Station is £4.00 for a timed slot and is pre-bookable only.
The ticket price includes free travel on the Diesel Train or Special Bus Service, so you can travel locally to Oxenhope without using a car.

Elf Explorer uses British Railway Mark 1 coaches, which have seats arranged in four bays.

All Elf Explorer services depart from Oxenhope Station; before boarding your festive journey, there is an Elf Experience in the shed to visit.

Every effort will be made to ensure that steam locomotives haul our Elf Explorer services. The Elf Explorer service will operate a ‘Top & Tail’ with a steam locomotive on the Oxenhope end and a heritage diesel on the Keighley end to assist with operational needs.

However, should a steam locomotive be unavailable, we reserve the right to substitute a diesel locomotive without prior notice.

The Elf Explorer includes a visit to a Victorian Christmas Steet and the Elf Show before boarding a one-hour steam train journey from Oxenhope Station. Santa will visit onboard, and festive entertainment and a present for the children will be provided.

The Elf Explorer Experience lasts approximately two hours; this includes a visit to the Winter Wonderland and Elf Show before boarding an hour round trip on the train.

You can only board the Elf Explorer at Oxenhope Station.

However, you can park at the other station and use the Diesel Shuttle service, or if you live locally, catch the free bus service to Oxenhope.

The Elf Explorer journey has toilets on board and toilets at Oxenhope & Keighley Station.

The shuttle doesn’t have toilets, but all stations on the railway have facilities.

Inside the Exhibition Shed with the Entrance Street & Elf Show, Rudolph Refreshments will be serving hot & cold drinks, with tasty treats & tempting snacks. There will also be a well-stocked bar open in the Exhibition Shed that you can pre-order from when you book your tickets.

There is no on-train bar this year, but you can pre-order your drinks to collect.

Dogs other than assistance dogs are not permitted onboard the Elf Explorer. Please let us know if you are bringing an Assistance Dog to your party.

Pushchairs and buggies cannot be accommodated on the train. They should be left in your car wherever possible. We use old-fashioned carriages, which have narrow doorways and small vestibules. We do not have space on the train or at our stations to accommodate them.

Oxenhope Car Park is pre-booked only, but you can park at any station on the railway and catch the diesel service to Oxenhope for your Elf Explorer Experience.
